VOIP (or voice over IP) is the latest development in telephony. Instead of the calls being carried down expensive phone lines, they're carried down your internet connection.
The main advantage of this is cost - rather than paying for expensive phone lines and even more expensive telephone systems, all the maintenance is carried out using a nice web interface and all the calls are routed down a single broadband connection.

All you need is a broadband connection (your existing connection may suffice) and an IP telephone. Our phones start at just £80 for a fully configured Linksys SPA941.
